About Innovation Academy Senior Project Course
The Senior Project Course is a culminating course for the Innovation Academy minor. This course combines all of the learning outcomes of the previous minor courses including: creativity, design thinking, leadership, entrepreneurship, and ethics. These upper-level students are challenged to revisit the innovation prototyping process. They identify a global problem and then work in small teams or individually to innovate a solution. In this course students create a functioning prototype and user test the prototype to result in improved prototype iterations. The course culminates with a public presentation and a written report of the team’s innovations ideas, which include a prototype, market analysis, business plan, go-to-market plan, and monitoring and evaluation plan.
