- Circular bronze medallion; obverse side depicts the Geological Institute of the University of Amsterdam with the coat of arms of Amsterdam in the background above two globes signifying the world and crossed tools. Reverse side depicts a cosmogram (a square and a circle in one), with four circular bossess enclosing the four different scientific fields of Paleontology, Economic Geology, Mineralogy, Geology with inscriptions in Dutch at the center.
