Notes

Abstract:
Circular bronze medallion; obverse side depictis a locomotive on a railway; reverse side depicts a railway station hall and encircled by an inscription; a signpost near a railway station indicates that it is possiblly the Amsterdam Central Station with the two characteristic halfcircular roofs of this station building being vaguely depicted in the center behind. The frame of the 'hall' is crowned by a symbol with elements suggesting speed, transport and commerce (wings, Mercury staff, torch, arrow, often used by railway companies); foliate decoration at rim's edge.
