Abstract:
Golden oak drop-front desk cabinet, squared format with shelf along top, silver-plated brass floral (roses and ribbons) motif, escutcheon plate at top center of desk front, arched panel below with recessed shelf lined with patterned pictorial velvet along shelf sides and bottom, straight narrow legs and stretchers, on each side of cabinet are a silverplated floral (roses and ribbons) handle matching escutcheon plate, gilt stamped black leather blotter inside desk, green velvet-lined cubbyholes on either side of upper central drawer, elaborate carved roses and ribbons motif on light wood drawer front highlighted with enamel, drawer pulls with painted almond nuts (left one missing), small cabinet below on each side with similar carved roses and ribbons motif, central cupboard lined with green velvet and clusters of roses, leaves and branches carved as an opening, also enameled.
