We are informed that the Southwest Florida Water Management Dis-
trict Board approved the Peace River Basin budget for the next
fiscal year without the inclusion of the additional amounts in-
cluded by the Peace River Basin Board at its meeting on June 1,
1967.
We are hereby requesting that you, as attorney for the Basin,
prepare an opinion on the District's legal authority to change,
either by reduction or addition, the final budget adopted by the
Basin Board. We request this opinion at the earliest possible
date before the next regular meeting of the Basin Board.
