Thank you very much for agreeing to participate in the Seventh Annual
Conference on Water Management in Florida. It truly promises to be the best
conference yet and we should have a record crowd for the technical and
informational sessions on Thursday afternoon. October 28L The Center for
Professional Development, with ample parking available at the bordering
-Tallahage Civic center, is also the best facility we have ever had available
for the conference. We do expect the Governor to give the opening remarks and
Mel Anderson, President-elect of the AWRA, will be making the banquet address.
Even the food should be above average. All in all, things look just great.

We have not yet finalized the entire program, nor have we worked out
the actual sequence and format of the presentations. The main speakers and
topics have, however, been deter ed. An agenda is attack e ha
t ntatively titled your session "Current Legislaton, Rules and Litigation,
with you, Wayne o gt, erry ole and Fred Breeze giving presentation tha
r scheduled to be a total of 75 minutes in duration, including some time for
questions and discussion at the end. There will be a podium, Kodak Carousel
and an overhead projector in the room; if you need other equipment, we will do
what we can to provide it.

Introductions in these sessions will probably be handled by one of our
Governing Board members or b late staff person. We would greatly

200 words) of what you plan to discuss. This mat l will be ed to compose
an "advertisement" in the final conference program. It is also entirely
possible I will be asking you, in the kindest way possible, to summarize what
you actually said for use in the Annual Conference Summary. If you warn me
that it is impossible for you to do that, we will tape, transcribe and edit
your remarks.
