Camp 7th C.V. [Connecticut Volunteers} Fernandina, Fla. Feb. 26, 1863
Dear Bro,
Add to the list of articles to send me a silk sash & a half dozen towels. We hope to be
paid sometime- the 1st of March. 6 months pay will be due me- if I live to get my pay
I'll send some home.
I am in first rate health. We had a wedding last night, a provost officer however, don't
worry it was not I that was married. It was Major Rodman, to a Miss Buddings [?] from
New London [?] who has been in Florida for the last 3 years. She came into our lives [?]
three weeks ago, when the Major saw her for the first time.
I hope this will find you all well.
I am your
Brother
Valentine
Send a statement of my bank account.
Did you ever settle with George W. Loomis [?] of Suffield [?] ?
