RE: Ximinez-Fatio House Restoration
Dear Norma:
Yesterday Andy removed a portion of the wood base from the south wall of
the most easterly room in the west wing. Since the base occurs through-
out the second floor area of the house that was accomplished in 1835-1840,
we can assume it dates from no earlier than that period and probably was
installed as part of the remodelling.
For your records, I am enclosing color chips and paint layers uncovered
by John Nelson, of this office. Please understand that this was not a
scientifically exact'investigation, but I feel it is accurate with regard
to numbers of coats of paint and approximate color.
