Dear Mr. King:

With respect to your Notice of Violation dated October 7, 1985
directed to this Board, here follows our plan for correction:

1. With respect to fire extinguishers either not being
mounted, or expired or none provided in buildings, 3,
5, 6, 20, 26, 27 and 32, please be advised that all
extinguishers have been charged, additional extinguishers
have been ordered to replace stolen ones and those not
mounted are in the process of being wall-mounted.

2. Heritage House Building 7
The west exit has been cleared.

3. Cerveau House Building 10
The privacy screen will be removed.

4. Government House Building 11
As explained, the Legislature provided us with the needed
funds to correct the life safety violations cited in this
and past reports. The contract has been awarded. The
construction conference is scheduled for November 8, 1985
and work will shortly begin. This work will specifically
address and correct violations 1 through 9 in this building.

Violation 10: Funds have been requested from the Legislature
to replace the East and South walls, including
the window boxes, of the auditorium, at the
level of the lobby, with approved construction.
The auditorium doors have already been replaced
with approved doors.

As part of the correction of violations
1 9 in Government House, we plan to
include a fire alarm system.

5. Joaneda House Building 27
A smoke detector will be installed.

6. DeMesa Sanchez Building 29
This building is a historically accurate reconstruction. The
employees who are always present in the house know how to work
the front door lock.

7. Haas House Building 32
Violations 2 and 3 in this structure will be corrected.
