SUBJECT: DOS-8449-A
In our meeting this mor ni ng wi th Her sc he Shepard several
elements were clarified in relation n to the construction of the
East Wing and Theater Fire Wall.
1. It was suggested that I be given the authority t:: supervise
the construction process. I will be the person that answers
direct construction related questions and coordinates the various
trades.
2. We selected Len Weeks to be the acting major sub-c contractor on
the job. Hi s. pr oposal dated July 20, 1988 was accepted by the
you and the agency as a work ng model that will allow him to
supply basic construction support. Mr, Shepard recommended that
Mr. Weeks would be the best person for such a support position
and you and I agreed.
3. It was suggested that a meeting be set up where Mr Janson
would come in a review the construction process as an
informational exercise.
Memo
4. Herschel was asked to give a presentation to the Board of
Trustees at some time in the future to outline the project.
5. In discussing when the project would take place with Mr. Lakes
from Flagler College, it was decided that if we could delay
construction in the theater until the end of the fall semester
1988, that would put less of a burden on the college. It was so
agreed upon.

B. Award Bids (mechanical & electrical) Oct. 15
