Dear Mr. Austin:

I thank you for your letter of November 18,4 ) -4
vith advice* as to the course to be taken relative to
disposal of the St. Augustine Post Office Customhouse.

It is our desire to exhaust first the
possibilities of preservation and operation of this
as an historical building by an appropriate federal
agency, then secondarily by the State of Florida.
