MANUSCRIPT DIVISION October 2, 1967
Dear Mr. Newton:
This is in reply to your letter of September 21.
A search has been made in the Geography and Map Division
and in the Prints and Photographs Division for the map which apparently
at one time was attached to Doc. No. 1, Series 260 of the East Florida
Papers, a floor plan of "Casa de Gobierno No. 6," but no such drawing
or map was found.
We have also checked the original manuscripts, thinking
perhaps the map might not have been filmed. But again it was not
found.
Undoubtedly you are aware that Series 176 of the East Florida
Papers contain "Plans and Papers on Public Buildings, Fortifications,
5a~nd Defen e, 1779-1815."
______ Faithfully yours,
David C. Mearns
Chief
