Dr. A. J. Hnna
Winter Park, Florida
I want to apologize for the delay in furnishing you with the information
about Stuart Barnette. I was confident that Dunham would send you the infor-
mation, however, when I returned a week or ten days ago I found that he had
not done so. In the meantime It develops that Stuart lmnette will not come to
St. Augustine In November, and for that reason there is probably no need to
send you his biographical sketch. Nevetheless I hem prepared some informa-
tion on a separate slip and it is enclosed herewith.
Our Historical Society has appointed a committee to entertain the members
of the Historical Association who come to St. Augustine. If they come from
Jacksonville in buses or individual cars, they can make a tour of the city with
special emphasis on our historical library, and our Society will arrange a tea
for them at the But House.
I am leaving tomorrow for Washington and will return to St. Augustine
Tuesday, November 3rd. If you will write me and tell me about how many
might come to St. Augustine, and give some suggestions a to what they might
expect in the way of a tour of the city, and whether you think they will want to
go to Marineland, I imagine that we can arrange for entrances to the various
places in St. Augustine at a rather small cost, but the charge at Marine Studios
will probably not be reduced, although I have not inquired about this.
As a general rle, on conventions that come to Jacksonville, Frank Winchell
of the Tourist Sumeu there, makes an Igements for visiting St. Augustine. It
might be best for us to get in touch with Mr. Winchell and work with him. At
any rate please let me know how you think we should proceed.
