Mr. Earle Newton, Director,
St. Augustine Historical Restoration
and Preservation Commission,
P. 0. Box 484,
St. Augustine, Florida
Dear Earle:
I enclose letter I have just received from Mr. David R.
Dunham, together with copy of letter from Mr. Lewis H. Tribble of the
Comptroller's office. I think these letters are self explanatory.
As I see it, it appears to me the work of the Colonial
Dames of America in St. Augustine is non-profit, educational and of
course beneficial to the program of the St. Augustine Historical
Restoration and Preservation Commission. I would appreciate it if you
would look further into this matter and give me your views as to what
we might be able to do to support an effort to get the Fatio House and
the property on which it stands removed from the the Tax Roll.
Sincerely,
H. E. Wolfe, Chairman
St. Augustine Historical Restoration
and Preservation Commission
