Block 19, Lot 17


Summary of cartographic investigation

1763 Puente #92, House of boards of Juan Santiago Bisma.
1765 Moncrief No structure.
1788 Rocque No structure.
1791 Bario No structure.

The Puente house appears to be on the lot in question.
It would, however, take considerable time to document this
as it seems to disappear by 1765 and is not replaced by
another structure until quite recently.
The house was probably small, (16' X 24'), one story,
and of relatively poor construction. This description is
based on the fact that after 1720, the majority of quality
construction in St. Augustine was of masonry.
