Death from Tinned Salmon.

Oae of oe unfortunate cones , of
jog was uired inte
by the Siteabagtt ay goroer late-
ssye an ia! temporary.
Yo this case the fatal result was due to
eating tinned salmon. Five members of
the family and a friend bad some of the
salmon, which had been bought on the
eame day. Four of them were takeo ill
and v6 little girl died after a weeks
illness, The shop keeper sad that the
salmon bad been in stock for three
mouths, which was not cooeiderod a lon
time ‘They might be kept for years and
still be all mgbt So many of these
casea occur, as our contemporary the
“Lancet ” points out, aod the difliculty
of discovering whether the ooatents of
the tia that u opened will serve as
wholesome food or be.the messenger of
death should surely be reason enough to
incite the men of acieooe to further and
clower investigation, so that if posable
the unscientife person maybe able to
detect the dangers of tioned meat before
it 19 too late.
