Dear Mr. Newton:
The Administration of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind
supports efforts by the San Agustin Antiguo Foundation, Inc. to restore
the historic Parades-Dodge House, one of only 35 Spanish colonial style
structures remaining in the City of St. Augustine.
The FSDB promotes history as the campus on San Marco is well over
one hundred years old. Every possible avenue to keep the campus a
part of the living history of St. Augustine is attempted. With this in
mind, the significance of the addition of the Paredes-Dodge House to
the San Agustin Antiguo State Historic Site would be greatly appreciated
and understood by both the citizens of St. Augustine, as well as, histor-
ians from around the nation who may visit this area.
Sincerely,
'Robert T. Dawson
