p. 9v. Affidavit. July 30. Francisco Sanchez de Ortigosa testifies that Lt. An-
tonio Lopez sold a coquina house to an Englishman. House in second square
of the street from the Guardhouse to St. Mark's Plaza on left side; adjoin-
ing house of Juan de Muros to the S.; Josefa Escalona, N.; Bartolome Pe-
rez, W.; Last owner, George Lindsay.

p. 497. Sale. March 24. Francisco Sanchez and Manuel de Iterrera exchange, the
former giving his schooner and a slave for the latter's two story stone
house and lot St. Charles St., bounded EI by the street, S, by Jose Peso de
Burgo, N. by Francisco Sanchez, W. by land said to belong to the King.

7) 1791, Escrituras, January 12 December 20.

p. 27, Sale. March 15. Gov. Quesada at request of Treasury officials issues proclam
tion Oct. 20, 1990 stating that by deaht of Jesse Fish and his son's removal
to England, the state of El Bergel and other properties revert to the Spanis
Crown. The executors Leslie and Travers explain that part of property servan
non possunt (probably servare is correct form, meaning "they can not protect
the houses going to ruin from neglet, and Governor ordered appraisal and sal
for benefit of Royal Treasury latter part of 1790. One of the houses of co-
quina with lot onSt. Charles St., bounded by said street in front, S., by

S., by Mateo Guadarrama, N., by Miguel Iznardy, W., by Manuel Almanza and
others, measuring N-S 20 yards, ]-W 52 1/2 -, bid in by pablo Cortinas.
The executors renounced their rights and the Governor gives title by thise
Block 9, Assessor's Inventory 72.

St. Charles St., which is E. boundary; Miguel Ysnardy, N.; Mateo Guada-
rrama, S.; Manuel Almanza, W. Measures N-S 20 yds, EKW 52 1/2. Bought
at aKt auction of Jesse Fish's estate March 15.

p. 731v. Sale. December 20. F.X. Sanchez Mateo Guadarrama coquina house on St.
Charles St. which is E boundary, Miguel Ysnardy N., another lot of the
purchaser S., and Manuel Almanza W. Measures in front N-S 20 yds. and
E-W 52 1/2, Property bought from Pablo Cortinas, Oct. 27, 1791.

(Marginal note: Decree of(Jyly)19,(l798)in accordance with opinion of
the Assessors General in proceeding instigated by Jose borente claim-
ing that the Kink owns a projection of Gindarramda lot which measures
18 yds. E*W, 22 yds S and 21 yds. 2 ft. 3 inches North bounded on first
side by said Lorente on 2nd side by Luisa Perez, on 3d side by said
Guadarrama and 4th side by Francisco Sanchez. By this document noted
in margin it is ordered to be included as formerly in Guadarrama's
lot. 1atet July 21, 1798.
