I am thinking darling thinking
Of the days of long ago
And my heart is slowly breaking
Since we said that sad adieu
Yes I'm sad as here I wander
For my heart must lonely be
And I grieve as oft I ponder
Upon past Joys and on thee
Ah! 'tis long since last you kissed me
For our paths have been apart
But with every hour I've blessed thee
Darling loved one of my heart

And when evening twilight shadeth
Natures beauties from my eyes
Then it is with faith I crieth
To the Ruler of the skies

Asking blessings yes the choicest
To attend the every day
That thy pathway be the surest
Even Heavens peaceful way

C.B. Bellamy
