Further to our conversation of today, Florida Power and Light
will transfer the electric service account on the Hispanic Garden from
the Preservation Board to the St. Augustine Foundation effective Monday,
November 16th. They said they would call you about this.
With respect to the garden itself, our practice has been to police
thle garden on an as-needed basis, which is about twice a week. The shrubbery
has been trimmed once a month. The watering depends on the weather and in
dry weather this has meant about once a week. There is a pump involved
that has to be turned on, etc., and I recommend that the person you appoint
to oversee the Hispanic Garden first call Everett Hunter, our maintenance
supervisor, so that Mr. Hunter can show him where the pump is, the in-
volved switches, etc. Mr. Hunter can be reached at our maintenance shop,
Please call me if you have any further questions.
