An Invitation to Visit Bonita Groves and to Attend

'- a Debate Between J. Petersen and

G. La Monte Graw -

The fair-minded people of this district appreciate the fact that in Bonita Groves has been developed a show place in the

Redlands which has become a point of interest to many thousands of visitors annually. There are other notable attractionshere

and each one adds greatly In creating interest in this section of Florida. *

Having secured the support of the United States Department of Agriculture and the co-operation of a great number of

experiment stations and foreign horticulturists, I am looking forward to the time when Bonita Groves shall be the home of addi"tional

thousands of new and interesting plants, the cultivation of which will prove an additional source of income for the Red-

,land District In view of the work I have done do you not think, in all fairness, that I should be given some encouragement? I

I regret to say that one of your newspaper publishers, a certain G. LaMonte Graw, seems to derive much pleasure from

'barking at my efforts, belittling Bonita Groves. and in general trying to make life as miserable as would a mosquito buzzing in my

,ear at night when I am trying to sleep.

Mr. Graw has accepted my challenge to debate on the subject: Resolved, That Bonita Groves la an Asset to the Red-

land District. In this debate, to be held in the Homestead Grammar School Auditorium on Friday, March 22, at 4 p. m., I expect
'to answer him and any other critic once and for all time to come. I request your presence. a

At 2 p. m., immediately preceding the debate, I cordially invite you to come and see for yourselves what there is at Bonita

:tJroves. A motorcade.will Homestead from in front of the Municipal Library, Krome Ave. at N. W.. Second St., at 2 p. m.

!'Friday. No admission will be charged. True, Redland hospitality will be extended to every visitor. '
I ,

I ) Yours With .aj sincere! desire and, in an earnest effort, too buildup the Redlands,
