IMPENDING DEPARTURE OF GOVERNOR .
His Excellency, Sir R. D. H. ARUNDELL, K.C.M.G., O.B.E., Governor of
the Windward Islands, will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on leave prior
to transfer to Barbados on Monday, 19th January, 1953, front which (iate His
Honour, W. F. COUTTS, "T.R.E., Administrator of St. Vincent, will admiinis-
ter the Government of the Windward Islands until the appointment of His
Excelleney's successor.

ACTING ADMINISTRATOR.
The Honourable CYPRIAN BERNARD GIBBS, Assistant Administrator,
on the 14th January, 1953, took the prescribed Oaths in accordance with the
provisions of Sub-section (2) of Article 7 of the Windward Islands Letters
Patent bearing date 27th August, 1951, and assumed the Administration of the
Government of St. Vincent consequent on the departure on official business to
Grenada of His Honour W. F. COUTTI, M.B.E., Administrator.

APPOINTMENTS.
The Secretary of State for the Colonies has approved the appointment of
Mr. CYPRIAN BERNARD GIBBS, Assistant Administrator, St. Vincent, to
be Assistant Administrator, Grenada. Mr. GIBBS is expected to assume duty
in Grenadli about April, 1953.
The Secretary of State for the Colonies has also approved the appointment
of Mr. OSMUND RANDOLPH KELSICK, D.F.C., District Officer, Carriacou,
to be Assistant Administrator, St. Vincent, vice Mr. C. B. GIBBS.

TEMPORARY TRANSFER.
Mr. A. L. DOPWELL, Deputy Treasurer, Grenada, as Acting Colonial
Treasurer, St. Vincent with effect from 15th January, 1953.
Mr. DOPWELL arrived in the Colony on 14th January, 1953.
