Applications are invited for vacant posts of
Agricultural Instructor from both male and
female citizens of the State who are over 17
The science of Agriculture has many facets
and successful applicants will be encouraged to
find and satisfy their own particular interest in
the field by on-the-job training in the first in-
stance and later through study opportunities
abroad if they show dedication to the profession.
Applicants without a secondary education will
be considered if they are good practical agricul-
turalists and of the right personality, but those
having passes in Botany, Biology or Zoology,
Chemistry, Mathematics a'nd English at Ordin-
ary or Advanced Level G.C.E. would start with

VACANT POST OF SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICER,
Applications are invited from suitably quali-
fied persons for the vacant post of Senior Medical
Officer, Ministry of Health, Housing, Community
Development &* Local Government, St. Vincent.
Qualifications: Medical qualifications regis-
trable in the United Kingdom, including a
qualification and experience in Public Health.
Experience in a similar post in the Caribbean
would be an asset.
Salary and Allowances: The appointment may
be on a permanent and pensionable basis or on
contract for a period of two to three years and
will be subject to medical fitness. Salary $13,200
E C., nlus pry addition of $900 per annum along
with Overseas Service Aid Scheme allowances
where the successful candidate qualifies for
these. If on contract 25% of salary is payable
a., grtniity on successful completion. Private
practice is not allowed, but an allowance of 25%
of salary is payable in lieu thereof. A trans-
port allowance is attached to the post.
Passages: Free passages in the case of a
contract, return passages will be provided for
the officer, his wife and children not exceeding
.,ix persons in all. Children must be under 18
y'ars of age, unmarried and dependent on the
Quarters: If Government quarters are avail-
able these will be rented to the officer at a rental
not exceeding 121, % of salary up to a maximum
of $100 per month. An OSAS officer will b.
eligible for furnished Quarters provided by Gov-
ernment at a rental of 12%.
Leave: Thirty (30) working days per annum
out of which twelve (12) working days com-
pulsory leave must be taken annually. Leave
will be granted only after one (1) year of resi-

POLICE (Traffic) NOTICE
TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FOR CORNER
'OF GRANBY AND JAMES STREET
Regulations made by the Commissioner of
Police and Licensing Authority by the Auth-
ority of Section 79 (1) of the Motor Vehicle
and Road Traffic Ordinance 1940 No. 20.
With effect from the 16th February, 1976
Traffic will be permitted to proceed from Gran-
by Street West to Granby Street East across
James Street. This new Traffic Arrangement
will be for a trial period of three months in the
All vehicles travelling from Granby Street
West whether intending to turn Left into James
Street, towards Frenches Gate and Murray's
Road, or go across to Granby Street East will
come to a stop at the Stop Line marked on the
road, and will move off only when it is safe to
