proved the acting appointment of Mr.
E. B. JACKSON, Senior Assistant Com-
missioner, as Commissioner of Police
with effect from 28th June 1974 and
until further notice.

Applications are invited from suitably
qualified persons for the Vacant post of
Legal Assistant, Legal Department, St.
Vincent.
The basic qualifications required is
that of a Barrister-at-law. The post is
pensionable aid the salary scale attach-
ing to it is $6,300 X $300-$6,600 X
$360-$8,400/$8,760 X $480-$10,200
and the point 6f entry will e deter-
mined by qualifications and experience.
A travelling allowance is payable; but
quarters are not provided. Private
practice is not allowed.
Appointment to the post may be on
a permanent pensionable basis or on
contract. 'If on contract a gratuity of
25% of earned salary is payable on
completion.
The successful candidate will be
required to:-

(a) assist the /Attorney General in
conducting cases in the Criminal
ahd Civil Courts of the State;
(b) give legal advice to Government
under the general direction of
the Attorney General;
(c) draft or assist in drafting legis-
lation and legal instruments.
(d) be Additional Magistrate for St.
Vincent;
(e) perform such other duties and
render such further assistance as
the Attorney General may direct.
Applications accompanied by proof
of qualifications, two (2) recent testi-
monials and a recent photograph should
be forwarded to the Acting Secretary,
Judicial and Legal Services Commission,
P.O. Box 829, Kingstown, St. Vincent,
to reach her not later than the 20th
July, 1974.

AID TO PIONEER INDUSTRIES (DEXTER LORENZO LEWIS)
(PRODUCTION OF POULTRY AND EGGS) ORDER, 1974.
(Gazetted 16th July, 1974.)
WHEREAS on the 3rd day of August, 1965, by Statutory Rule
and Order No. 18 of 1965, the establishment, maintenance and operation
in the State of plant for the production of poultry and eggs was declared
a pioneer industry for the purposes of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance,
1952 (No. 5 of 1952) and poultry, poultry meat and eggs were declared to
be pioneer products of that industry;
THEREFORE in exercise of the power conferred upon him by
subsection (1) of section 4 of the Aid to Pioneer Industries Ordinance, 1952,
the Governor has been pleased to make the following Order:-
1. Short title. This Order may be cited as the Aid to Pioneer Industries
(Dexter Lorenzo Lewis) (Production of Poultry and Eggs) Ordinance, 1974.
Order, 1974.
2. Declaration. DEXTER LORENZO LEWIS is hereby declared to be
a pioneer manufacturer in relation to the production of poultry and eggs at
his pioneer factory established at Biabou.
3. Construction Day. Construction day was 16th June, 1973.
4. Production Day. Production day was 15th March, 1974.
