ABSENCE OF THE HON. PREMIER/MINISTER OF FINANCE AND THE
HON. MINISTER FOR COMMUNICATIONS, WORKS AND LABOUR

The Hon. R. MILTON CATO, Premier/Minister of Finance and the Hon.
H. K. TANNIS, Minister for Communications, Works and Labour leave the State
on Friday, July 23, 1971 for Grenada to attend a Heads of Government Con-
ference.
On the 26th July, 1971 the Hon. H. K. TANNIS then proceeds to Trinidad to
attend the West Indies Shipping Conference.

APPOINTMENT

Consequent on the absence from the State of the Hon. R. MILTON CATO,
Premier/Minister of Finance, the Hon. S. E. SLATER, Minister of Home Affairs,
has been appointed to act as Premier/Minister of Finance in conjunction with
his substantive duties with effect from July 23, 1971 and until further notice.
