PROSPECTUS
The List of Applications will be opened at 10.00 a.m. on 15th October, and will
remain open until the full amount of the issue is subscribed or until further
notice.
SST. VINCENT GOVERNMENT-STATEHOOD BOND ISSUE
71/2% BONDS 1980/81
ISSUE OF $2,000,000 E.C.
Authorised under Ordinance No. 21 of 1969.
Interest payable on 1st May and 1st November of each year
PRICE OF ISSUE-97%'
PURPOSES
The proceeds of the loan will be applied to such Development projects as
may be approved by the Government.
The Government of St. Vincent invite applications for St. Vincent 71/2%
Statehood Bonds as stated above. The Bonds will be issued under the General
Local Loan Ordinance 1962 (No 11/1962).
REDEMPTION OF BONDS-SINKING FUND AND SECURITY
The Bonds will be repayable at par not later than 1st November, 1961,
but the Government of St. Vincent will have the option of redeeming the
bonds in whole or in part, by drawings or otherwise, at par on, or at any
time after, the 1st November, 1980, on giving six months' notice by advertise-
ment in the "Gazette" and one local newspaper circulating in St. Vincent.
A Sinking Fund will be formed for the redemption of the bonds and
half-yearly contributions to the funds will be at the rate of not less than one
per cent per annum and the first contributions will be taken on or before the
1st January, 1971. These contributions may be increased and will only be
discontinued if and when the value of the Fund is sufficient with further
accumulations of interest, to ensure the repayment of the bonds at the final
date.
The bonds are secured on the general revenues and assets of St. Vincent.
INTEREST
Interest will be payable half-yearly by bearer coupons (attached to the
bonds) on 1st May and 1st November of each year. Coupons will be negoti-
able on demand at the Treasury, St. Vincent, or at any other Revenue Offices
in the territory.
The principal and interest thereon payable to persons or corporations
not resident in St. Vincent will not be subjected to any taxes, duties or levies
of the Government of St. Vincent.
DENOMINATIONS
The Bonds will be of the denominations of $50, $100, $500 ,$2,500 and $5,000.
Every Bond and coupon and the right to receive the principal and Interest
represented thereby will be transferable by delivery.

PUBLIC DEBT
The Public Debt of St. Vincent at 31st December 1968 was $1,716,642.
The nominal value of sinking Funds at the same date was $292,523.
APPLICATIONS AND GENERAL ARRANGEMENTS
The list of applications will open at 10.00 a.m. on 15th October, 1969, and
will remain open until the full amount of the issue is subscribed or until
further notice.
Applications on the attached from will be received at the offlee of the
Financial Secretary, Ministry of Finance and must be accompanied by the full
amount of the purchase price of the bonds for which application is made.
Cheques should be made payable to the Accountant General of St. Vincent. A
separate cheque must accompany each application. In the case of partial allot.
ment the surplus will be refunded.
