Antigua.

3. The appointment is pensionable
and will be subject to medical fitness.

Electrician Certificate or
equivalent.

VACANT POST OF INSPECTOR
OF SCHOOLS, ST. VINCENT
Applications are invited from suit-
ably qualified persons for the above
post.
2. The post is pensionable with
salary in the scale $4,884 x $180-
$5,064 x $240-$6,084. Appointment
on contract for three (3) years in the
first instance may be considered.
3. Applicants should:
(i) Be graduates of a recognized
University.
(ii) Possess a diploma or degree
in Education.
(iii) Have experience of teaching
in elementary schools.
Consideration will also be given to
applicants who posses only the B.Ed.
from the University of the West Indies.
4. Applications giving full particu-
lars and with supporting documents
should reach the Establishment Officer.

BY THE AUTHORITY OF
TIE LAND AND HOUSE TAX
ORDINANCE.
It is notified for general information
that Land and House Tax payable in
respect of the current year will be re-
ceived at the Tax Office, Kingstown, and
at the District Revenue Offices at
Georgetown, Barrouallie, Bequia and
Union Island during the period 1st No-
vember to 31st December, 1968, and at
Sandy Bay, Colonarie, Biabou, Mesopo-
tamia, Layou and Chateaubelair on the
dates listed hereunder:-
Sandy Bay
-Friday 22nd November and 13th
December.
Colonarie
-Every Thursday during the months
November to December, except
Thursday 26th December.
Mesopotamia
-On Friday 8th, 15th, 22nd Novem-
ber and 6th, 13th, 20th December.
Biabou
--On Tuesday 3rd, 10th, 17th Decem-
ber.
Layou
-Every Monday during the months
November to December, except
Monday 30th December.
Chateaubelair
-Every Friday during the months
November to December.
It is further notified that the Land
and House Tax Bailiffs will be in atten-

above dates and defaulters for previous
years are asked to take steps to have
their arrears settled promptly, as War-
rants have already been issued to the
Bailiffs for the several Districts to take
Proceedings by way of Distress against
the properties of all defaulters.

THE LIQUOR LICENCE
ORDINANCE
No. 11 OF 1948
Persons intending to apply for Certi-
eates of Fitness to sell intoxicating
Liquor in respect of the year 1969 un-
der the above named Ordinance are
hereby reminded that:
1. There will be the Annual Licens-
ing Sessions for the Parishes of
Saints Andrew & George, Char-
lotte, Saint David, Saint Patrick

and the Grenadines in the month
of December, 1968, for the pur-
pose of considering the grant of
new certificates and renewals in
respect of the year 1969.
2. Application forms are available at
the Magistrates' Office, Kingitown
and at the various Police Stations.
3. Applications for new Certificates
should reach the Magistrates'
Office, Kingstown, not later than
the 31st day of October, 1968.
4. Applications for renewals should
reach the Magistrates' Office in
time for consideration by the
Licensing Boards at the Annual
Licensing Sessions in December,
1968; Applications for renewals
are subject to a late fee if they are
not received in time.
5. The time and date and place of
the several Sessions will be pub-
lished in a subsequent notice in
the Government Gazette.
6. Notice of intention to oppose
grant of certificate must be served
upon the Magistrate and upon the
licensed dealer not less than seven
days before the day fixed for the
holding of the Licensing Session
or hearing of the application.
7. Applicants are reminded that
there are nine classes of liquor
licences issued under the Ordin-
ance i.e.
Class 1-Wholesale Licence
Class 2-Retail Town Licence
for Kingstown, Georgetown,
Chateaubelair, Calliaqua, Bar-
rouallie, Layou.
Class 3-Retail Country Li-
cence
Class 4-Retail Grenadines Li-
cence
Class 5-Hotel Licence
Class 6-Refreshment House Li-
cence
Class 7-Occasional Licence
Class 8-Bottle Licence
Class 9-Proprietary Club Li-
cence
8. Applicants are reminded that a
Class 6 Licence i.e. a Refreshment
House Licence shall not be granted
to any person who is' not the hold-
er of a Bottle Licence under
Class 8.
