Michael and Saint George, Governor-
General of Barbados.

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS it is provided by section 61(1) of the
Constitution of Barbados that the Governor-General,
acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime
Minister, may at any time by proclamation prorogue
Parliament:
AND WHEREAS the Prime Minister has advised that
Parliament should be prorogued:

NOW THEREFORE by virtue and in exercise of the
power and authority in me vested, I, Arleigh Winston
Scott, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished
Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor-
General of Barbados, do hereby proclaim and make
known that Parliament stands prorogued as from
5.40 o'clock p.m. today, Friday 2nd May, 1969, until
Tuesday, 10th June, 1969.

Given under my hand and the Pub-
lic Seal of Barbados this 2nd day of
May, 1969 and in the Eighteenth Year
of Her Majesty's Reign.
