Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, Officer of the Most
Excellent Order of the British Empire, Governor ard Cominander-

their Dependencies, issued under my hand at Government Hiouse,
Grenada, and the Public Seal of the said Island of Grenada, this

GREETINGS:
BY virtue of the power and authority in me vested by WINDWARD ISLANDS LETTERS
PATENT, bearing date at WESTMINSTER the twenty-seventh day of Auguist, One
thousand nine hundred and fifty-one; I do by this Commission under the Public Seal
of the Island of GRENADA appoint you the said WILLIAM GEOFFREY Boss, Financial
and Economic Adviser, Windward Islands, to be my Deputy within the said
WINDWARD ISLANDS from on or about the 6th day of 'October, One thousand
nine hundred and fifty-four and until further orders, and in that capacity,
should the necessity arise for so doing, to exercise, perform and execute for
and on behalf of the Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the WINDWAnRD ISLANS
during the period recited, but no longer, all things'that belong to the office of
Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the WINDWARD ISLANDS according to the tenor
of such Letters Patent already recited or in other Letters Patent adding to, amending
or substituting for the same, and subject to the Royal Instructions and other
Instructions passed under the Royal Sign Manual and Signet to the -Governor and
Commander-in-Chief of the said WINDWARD ISLANDS of GRENADA, ST. VINCENT,
ST. LUCIA and DoMINICA, and during Her Majesty's pleasure :
II. AND I DO HEREBY DIRECT that you the said WILLiAM GEOFFREY Boss shall not
continue to act as Deputy to the Governor after the Governor has arrived at
Grenada or some other Officer having prior right so to act or to administer the
Government of the WINDWARD ISLANDS has notified that he is about to assume it:
III. AND I DO HEREBY require and command all and singular Her Majesty's
Officers, Civil, Military, Naval, Air and otherwise, and all others the inhabitants of the
said WINDWARD ISLANDS and all others whom it may concern to take due notice thereof
and to give their ready obedience accordingly.
