Latin text on verso with elaborate architectural motif borders. Left facing page includes a woodcut of an elephant, three children and a mother figure. Woodcut borders and ornaments are attributed to Hans Holbein, the Younger.

Appears in: Clavdii Ptolemaei geographicae ennarrationis libri octo...editions published 1525 and 1535. According to Karrow, the map woodcuts are the same blocks as those used for the first edition in 1522. With the first edition, the map has the title, "Tabula IIII Affri" in text on verso.
