NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORKSHOP

You are hereby notified that the Florida Department of
Environmental Regulation will conduct a public workshop
on AucTamst 24. 1976 at 1:00 p.m. in the DeSoto County
Commit in "n tir near co 1ents n a petition
to reclassify a portion of the Peace River. The petition
requests that the Peace River in DeSoto County be reclassified
from Class III, recreation propogation and management of
fish and wildlife, to Class I, public water supply. A copy
of the workshop agenda may be obtained by writing to the
Department of Environmental Regulation at 2562 Executive Center
Circle, East, Montgomery Building, Tallahassee, Florida 32301.

At the workshop, anyone may present data, make a statement or
offer a viewpoint or argument either orally or in writing.
Lengthy statements containing considerable technical or economic
data should be concise to permit everyone an opportunity to
be heard. Participants in the workshop will be requested to
register upon arrival and to notify the registering official of
their intent to give a statement.

Following the workshop, written statements may be submitted
within fifteen calendar days following the date of the hearing.
