Re: Request for Release from Contract dated 9-26-72
Between United States of America and Southwest
Florida Water Management District and Resolution
Nos. 33 and 447
Dear Colonel Lee:
Under Section 373.069, Florida Statutes, on July 1, 1975 the
Southwest Florida Water Management District will have transferred
from its control the Oklawaha and Waccasassa River Basins.
This change of control over these Basins will prevent the District
from continuing as the local sponsor for projects covered under the
above referenced matter. Since the District will no longer after
July 1, 1975 be able to exercise legal control or expend funds for
projects in these Basins, we request to be released from our commit-
ment with the United States of America and to modify our contractual
obligations in accordance with the release.
Your assistance in submitting this request forward for the necessary
consideration and approvals and advising us of the decision is
requested.
Very truly yours,
DONALD R. FEASTER, P.E.
