MEMORANDUM
TO: BOB HAIGHT, Chief of Surveying & Mapping Section
FROM: E. D. VERGARA, Director, Dept. of Interagency Coordination
RE: L. M. Blain's attached letter to you of July 19, 1976
Bob, I believe Buddy has a good point. What we take for granted is probably
confusing to those not familiar with either our basin names or the counties
in the area.
The easiest way to resolve it that I can see, and this is just a suggestion,
is to put a "Co." beneath each county name using the same size lettering; and
"Basin" beneath each basin name using the same size lettering as the basin name.
Also, the maps you later sent me still do not have the Hillsborough Basin
labeled although I might still have one of the earlier maps.
Finally, anything you can do to make a c6ewrer distinction between the county
boundaries and basin boundaries on 588 would be a tremendous help. I suggest
a light hatching or dotted band be used on top of the broken lines showing the
county boundaries.
Please let me know if you feel Bill Conner can assist you In this. He'd be
glad to do the changes with your guidance If you find it is necessary in order
to complete the work by next Wednesday or so. Just give me a ring.
