SOUTHWEST FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
REALIGNING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE OKLAWAHA RIVER BASIN

RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, the Governing Board of the Southwest Florida Water Management
District, hereinafter called DISTRICT, was authorized under Chapter 61-691,
Laws of Florida, creating the DISTRICT to subdivide the area of the DISTRICT
into watershed basins to include major streams and their tributary streams;
and
WHEREAS, the powers, duties and functions of the DISTRICT under Chapter
61-691, Laws of Florida, were incorporated into and carried forward under the
Water Resources Act of 1972,,-l- I II now gna-rnedl.. th. provlisrole

WHEREAS, the Dist rit Governing Board under Section 5 Chapt er. 1-691,
Laws of Florida, and Cklreur 373.0693(1), Florida Statutes .are poweredd to ..
designate subdistricts or basins, and may change the boundaries of such basins
except the Green Swamp Watershed Basin or create new basins by Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the District Governing Board has determined that there should
be 1'eaf--frejjnmt of the Oklawaha River Basin to include only that portion of
the Oklawaha River Basin be transferred to and e a part of the boundaries
of the St. Johns Water Management District as provided in Section 373.069(3)(d),
