3 A bill to be entitled.

4 An act relating to a special election to be held

5 on the second Tuesday in March in 1976 pursuant

6 to Section 5 of Article XI of the State Consti-

7 tution for the approval or rejection by the

8 electors of Florida of a joint resolution amending

9 Section 9, Article VII of the State Constitution:

10 relating to local ad valorem taxes; providing for

11 publication of notice and for procedures; providing

12 an effective date.

14 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

1Section 1. Pursuant to Section 5 of Article XI of the
16
State Constitution, there shall be a special election on the
17
second Tuesday in March in 1976 to be held concurrent with the
18

19 Presidential Preference Primary election, at which there shall

20 be submitted to the electors of Florida for approval or rejection

21 House Joint Resolution No. proposing the amending of

SSection 9 of Article VII of the State Constitution, to establish

Sa limit on local taxes to be used for water management purposes.

Section 2. Publication of notice shall be in accordance

with Section 5 of Article XI of the State Constitution. The

special election shall be held as other special elections are

Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a

Slaw, if passed by a three-fourths (3/4) vote of the membership

of each house.
