Dear Mr. Wells:

Mr. McAteer asked me to reply to your letter of December 3, 1976 re-
garding a time frame for the public hearing on the Ridge area.
.. .

The Board's motion on this matter only indicated that the hearing will
be held before adoption of the Fiscal Year 1978 budget and certification
of millage rates to the tax assessors. This would require holding the
hearing before mid-August when all nine basin boards will adopt their
final budgets.

There would, therefore, be ample time after the legislative session to
conduct the public hearing as you suggested.
