DAYTONA B EACH is ,1 miles south of Jacksonville on the Florida East Coast
Railway, station Daytona, called the prettiest town in all
Florida. We are on the peninsula, a half mile wide, between the Halifax River on the west
and the deep blue sea on the east, connected with the mainland by four bridges, electric street
railway, autos of every description and a ferry which lands you on the main street leading to
the world-famous beach which for automobiles has no equal. For miles each way you can spin
on a beach smoothed twice each day by the ocean tides. We keep open house the year round.
Almost all business houses and hotels are open summer and winter, as well as the many room-
ing and private houses to rent at prices to fit any pocket-book. Good roads radiate to all parts
of Florida; no sandy roads in our town; cement walks everywhere; three approaches to the
ocean beach; miles of good roads; come and see us and we will try to make you feel at home;
something going on every minute; boat and auto trips to all nearby towns; electric lights, gas,
telephone and water on every street; no moss on our backs or on our trees; we are high and
dry, no water stands on our side of the Halifax; warmer in winter and cooler in summer than
the mainland; they all come to us in the summer for a dip in old Ocean and there are but few
days in winter when bathing is not a pleasure. We are on the only hard surfaced road leading
from Jacksonville to South and Middle Florida. Auto camping parties stop and see us; we
have a place for you with city water on the grounds. Fishing is as good here, all in all, as at any
place in Florida.

DAYTONA BEACH
THESE PICTURES show enough, we hope, to interest you, but the best things
we have at Daytona Beach cannot be shown in pictures.
You must breathe the balmy salt air from the Atlantic; feel the glorious sunshine; see the
beautiful semi-tropical verdure of the surrounding neighborhood; motor, drive or walk on the
"most wonderful beach in the world;" bathe in the warm but invigorating surf; catch the deep
sea fish that are yours for the taking, and experience the cordial welcome and hospitality to
really appreciate
THE TOWN of DAYTONA BEACH
We will be glad to have you. Will you come?
