an island-wide project. Rather
than having a social gather-
ing for a small group in the
community, we feel it would
be more appropriate to make
a donation which would in
the long run benefit the en-
tire island population’.

The Lt. Governor, in ac-
cepting the donation, stated
that it would be used towards
the restoration and preserva-
tion of Aruban monuments

ed that this project, underta-
ken by the National Parks
Foundation (Aruba Division),
is of great importance for the
education and recreation of
Aruba’s inhabitants as well as
of visitors to our island.

The National Parks Found-
ation was founded in 1962
and has as its objective the
acquisition, preservation and
protection of areas of geolo-
gica?, archeological or histor-
ical interest, those which have
important animals and flow-
ers, and areas of natural or
landscape beauty. Since Aru-
ba’s population will benefit
from these monuments, and
the island will have more at-
tractive and interesting spots
for visitors to see, this work
by the Foundation could be
called an investment in the
future of Aruba.

Tribute on 40th Anniversary

On the occasion of its
40th anniversary as a re-
fining company, Lago re-
ceived numerous _ tele-
grams, letters, ads in
newspapers, over the ra-
dio and television as well
as several floral pieces
all expressing congratu-

lations and best wishes
to the Company.

Lago management ap-
preciated this gesture on
the part of the commun-
ity and expressed its
thanks via press, radio
and television.

an island-wide project. Rather
than having a social gather-
ing for a small group in the
community, we feel it would
be more appropriate to make
a donation which would in
the long run benefit the en-
tire island population’.

The Lt. Governor, in ac-
cepting the donation, stated

ed that this project, underta-
ken by the National Parks
Foundation (Aruba Division),
is of great importance for the
education and recreation of
Aruba’s inhabitants as well as
of visitors to our island.

The National Parks Found-
ation was founded in 1962
and has as its objective the
acquisition, preservation and
protection of areas of geolo-
gica?, archeological or histor-
ical interest, those which have
important animals and flow-
ers, and areas of natural or
landscape beauty. Since Aru-
ba’s population will benefit
from these monuments, and
the island will have more at-
tractive and interesting spots
for visitors to see, this work
by the Foundation could be
called an investment in the
future of Aruba.

Tribute on 40th Anniversary

On the occasion of its
40th anniversary as a re-
fining company, Lago re-
ceived numerous _ tele-
grams, letters, ads in
newspapers, over the ra-
dio and television as well
as several floral pieces
all expressing congratu-

lations and best wishes
to the Company.

Lago management ap-
preciated this gesture on
the part of the commun-
ity and expressed its
thanks via press, radio
and television.
