the St. Louis University, Ru-
dolph (Rudy) Amaya crowned
|his studies with a B.S. degree
in electrical engineering.

with Lago in July, 1938, as a

Mr. Everett Beaujon came to

cal engineering from the Uni-
versity of Cincinati, Ohio, Mr.
Beaujon took Machinery and
Equipment as his major field.
| Mr. Beaujon is an ardent ju-
|do fan. He is also a member of
the Volksuniversiteit. Recently
he was installed as president
of the Aruba Lion’s Club for
|the next term of office.

With this recent promotion
to accountant, Mr. Echteld
moves into management status.
In April 1945 he joined Lago as
an apprentice clerk ”D” He
was promoted to head billing
clerk in 1957, and subsequently
worked as distribution clerk I,
and senior accounting clerk be-
fore his recent promotion.

A MULO-B graduate, Mr.
Echteld also took a course in
practical, general and advanced
accounting from ICS. Before
joining Lago, he has had three
years of work experience with
the Alcoa Steamship Co.

Mr. Echteld is an ardent lo-
ver of music. He is the leader
of the well-known ’’Caribbean
Ambassadors’”’.

With a second grade from
HBS, Mr. van Loon followed the
pre-training for UTS. He com-
pleted the UTS program in
1962. Through night courses,
he completed the Stationary
Steam Engineering course at
the Aruba Technical School and
obtained the A & B certificates
of that course. He also com-
pleted a 49-unit I.C.S. course
for chemical process control
technicians this year. He took
all these courses while working
shift.

Mr. van Loon will study
chemical engineering at Clem-
son University in South Caro-
lina. He is married and has one
child

Business Administration

Juliano E. Thode began his
Lago career in September, 1954
as a Junior Clerk in Mechani-
cal-Administration. He is now a
Publications Assistant in PR
IR where he has worked on the
Esso News and Diario.

In 1954, Mr. Thode completed
the third grade of the HBS in
Aruba. At Lago, he completed
a typewriting course, courses in
Remedial English, Industrial
Power Distribution and the Aa-
vaneed English Writing course.

Mr. Thode will attend Ohio
University in Athens, Ohio,
where he will study business
administration.

Mr. Thode is married and has
two children. He was once a
scout !eaxc1 of the St. Michiel
Troop in San Nicolas.

the Volksuniversiteit. Recently
he was installed as president
of the Aruba Lion’s Club for
|the next term of office.

moves into management status.
In April 1945 he joined Lago as
an apprentice clerk ”D” He
was promoted to head billing
clerk in 1957, and subsequently
worked as distribution clerk I,
and senior accounting clerk be-
fore his recent promotion.

A MULO-B graduate, Mr.
Echteld also took a course in
practical, general and advanced
accounting from ICS. Before
joining Lago, he has had three
years of work experience with
the Alcoa Steamship Co.

Mr. Echteld is an ardent lo-
ver of music. He is the leader
of the well-known ’’Caribbean
Ambassadors’”’.

Fourteen Students Take Part In Lago’s
Summer Training Program This Year

With a second grade from
HBS, Mr. van Loon followed the
pre-training for UTS. He com-
pleted the UTS program in
1962. Through night courses,
he completed the Stationary
Steam Engineering course at
the Aruba Technical School and
obtained the A & B certificates
of that course. He also com-
pleted a 49-unit I.C.S. course
for chemical process control
technicians this year. He took
all these courses while working
shift.

Mr. van Loon will study
chemical engineering at Clem-
son University in South Caro-
lina. He is married and has one
child

Business Administration

Juliano E. Thode began his
Lago career in September, 1954
as a Junior Clerk in Mechani-
cal-Administration. He is now a
Publications Assistant in PR
IR where he has worked on the
Esso News and Diario.

In 1954, Mr. Thode completed
the third grade of the HBS in
Aruba. At Lago, he completed
a typewriting course, courses in
Remedial English, Industrial
Power Distribution and the Aa-
vaneed English Writing course.

Mr. Thode will attend Ohio
University in Athens, Ohio,
where he will study business
administration.

Mr. Thode is married and has
two children. He was once a
scout !eaxc1 of the St. Michiel
Troop in San Nicolas.
