Boniface Alfred Richardson, known to most of us as
Fred", was born on June 6,1920 in the Bronx, New York to
SConstant Richardson and Eurnice Lawrence. On October 17,
*1943, Fred was married to Eustasia de Jesus, with whom he
shared half a century and helped to raise his stepchildren,
Frank J. Serrano and Marie I. de Lugo. One of four children,
Fred is survived by his brothers Gaston "Nell" Richardson of
St. Thomas, and Cyril Richardson ofAruba and sister, Irmis
Beauperthuy of St. Maarten.
He is also survived by eight grand children, eleven great-
grandchildren, nineteen nephews and one niece along with .
many other relatives and friends.
Fred was a fisherman, a teacher, a mentor and friend to
Many. He was the original "Old Man and the Sea". He was
a unique individual who lived life to its fullest and will be
remembered and greatly missed by those he left behind.
