General Note:

The slides were taken on collecting trips sponsored by the William L. Bryant Foundation, where books, music and art indigenous to the regions were gathered. The are organized by geographical location.

General Note:

Maracas Bay has the closest beach to Port of Spain, Trinidad. The first building, pictured, is the two-story Casa de Maracas Restaurant and Bar. On the bar’s walls are advertisements for Pepsi and Ju-c soft drink beverages. People are gathered near the bar along with men digging near the dirt roadside. Also pictured are smaller houses, coconut trees, canoes, small boats, and automobiles. Slide labeled Beach on N Coast Trinidad.
