- The slides were taken on collecting trips sponsored by the William L. Bryant Foundation, where books, music and art indigenous to the regions were gathered. The are organized by geographical location.
- General Note:
- View of a Jamaican coastal fishing village with board, zinc roofed houses on the shores of the Caribbean Sea. Numerous fishing nets have been hung to dry on bamboo poles. Various fishing boats can be seen moored to the docks. In the distance, a woman is entering a house while laundry dries in the sun. Slide labeled Jam. north Coast.
