Abstract:: It was the night before Christmas/The weather was hot/I wonder if Santa/Would visit this spot.//The children were worried/For fear he'd say no!/When he learned that this place/Could never have snow.//When out on the roof/In a voice loud and mad,/I heard someone say,/"There's no chimney, by Gad!"//In all of our letters/For presents galore/We failed to tell Santa/He must use the door.//He'll never forgive us/And never come back,/And then came through the window/He came with his pack.//He went right to work/Filled the stockings with care,/And all of the extras he put in chairs.//He looked for a fireplace/And when none could be found/He opened the door/And went out with a bound.//But I heard him explain/To his friends on the Isthmus,/"I hope that you all/Have a wonderful Christmas!"
