Finland TBT Notification 84.22 The Finnish Ministry of Trade and Industry has proposed an amendment (product covered retail packages for food products) to the Decree on Food Products. The amendment would revise the control arrangements to facilitate the verification of sales labelling on food products being done at import stage. The labelling control will be carried out in connection with the inspection of food products. The objective and rationale for the proposal is human health. Final date for comments on the proposal is April 16, 1984. EC The Technical Office just received a copy of recent Council Directive No. 83/635/EEC which amends rules applicable to labelling of certain partly or wholly dehydrated preserved milk for human consumption in the EC.
