AGRO-OHIO "84" SEPTEMBER 11-12, 1984

The exposition is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Development's International
Trade Division, The Mid-America Council on Economic Development, the Ohio Department
of Agriculture, and the Toledo Chamber of Commerce.

Approximately 285 exhibits will display virtually every agricultural medium. This
includes commodities, equipment items, packing and food processes, prototypes of
farming, dairy and livestock production, and technical processes such as embryo
transfers and artificial insemination of superior genetic strains.

Toledo, site of the exposition, is a domestic and international shipping center and
one of the world's largest bulk ports. The city is also served by six of the largest
U.S. railroads.

TENTH ALL JAPAN SWINE SHOW OCTOBER 25 29, 1984

The Tenth All Japan Swine Show is scheduled for October 25 29, 1984. The show site
is a wide river bank in Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture, about one and a half hours
by car or express train from Toyko.

Application for booths must be received by the National Swine Association, Attention
Mr. Hideyo Koharu, Rakunoh Kaikan Bldg., 1-37-20Y Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Toyko 151, by
Septnebr 20. Booth dimensions will be 2.7 meters wide and 3.6 meters long and will
be covered by a tent with partitions. Cost is 180,000 yen/booth with reduction to
170,000 yen/booth for two to four booths by one leasee or 150,000 yen/booth for five
or more booths. All booths will be furnished with table, chairs, name sign and
electric plug for 50 cycle and 100 volts. Plugs for higher voltage can also be
arranged.

Foreign participants are requested to refrain from bringing live swine due to
quarantine difficulties.

GENOA INTERFOOD SHOW, NOVEMBER 14 20, 1984

The Interfood Show (food products for catering) is held in conjunction with
Technhotel (technologies and products for hotels, communities, catering) and
BIBE (international exhibition of wine, spirits and other beverages). The
three specialized shows will occupy 155,000 square meters. Last year, this
show attracted over 150,000 visitors from around the world.

Catering and food products, e.g. frozen, processed and other prepared foods,
will be exhibited in one large section. Show is aimed at attracting
institutional trade, hotel and restaurant managers and their suppliers.
