Purpose and Vision: The Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC) is a cooperative project within the Caribbean and circumCaribbean that provides users access to Caribbean cultural, historical and research materials held in archives, libraries, museums, and private collections. dLOC collections highlight the similarities and differences in histories, cultures, languages and governmental systems across the Caribbean. Mission: dLOC's diverse partners serve an international community of scholars, students, and citizens by working together to preserve and provide free electronic access to cultural, historical, legal, governmental, and research materials in a common web space with a multilingual interface.DIGITAL LIBRARY OF THE CARIBBEAN www.dloc.com myDLOCAnyone can instantly register for myDLOC Once you log in, you can: comments to the item (comments are not displayed to others, but will show on your bookshelf) SEARCHING in dLOCFrom the Home Page: From the home page, the basic search allows you to search citation information across all items and collections in dLOC.Map Search: If you are looking for items with discrete geographic locations, you can take advantage of the new map search.
