The total production of titanium ingot for October was 3.6
million pounds. This represented a 7-percent increase from the
September total of 3.4 million pounds. Consumption of titanium
ingot increased by 1 percent in October to 3.5 million pounds
from 3.4 million pounds in September. Net shipments of
titanium mill products decreased by 19 percent to 2.4 million


pounds in October from 3.0 million pounds in September.
Total shipments of titanium castings for October amounted
to 43 thousand pounds.

ments for each lill product category also includes the consumption of mill proaucrs
in that category in the manufacture of o'her mill products Detail doe not add to, rh
total because of this difference in definition.
'Data for sheer and strip, plate, extrusion (other than tubingl, pipe and tubing.
and other have been combined to avoid disclosing individual company data.
