The Florida Digital Newspaper Library (FDNL) provides access to yesterday’s news of Florida, including both historic and continuing publications. Issues are page viewable with text search capabilities in English, Spanish and French. Your donation will support advanced programming, the digitization of additional titles, and continuing long term maintenance of digital archives.
Start-up funding came, in part, from a grant from the State Library and Archives of Florida’s Library Services and Technology Assistance granting program. Limited funds for selected retrospective digitization of historic newspapers came from the Institute for Museum and Library Services and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Additional support has been provided by
Florida’s independent newspaper publishers which have allowed Internet distribution of their newspapers without fees.
How many pages will you support?
Each contribution of $2 supports the digitization of one page.
