The Elmer J. Emig Papers include lecture and research notes, a small amount of correspondence, and manuscripts. Of special interest are his research notes on the history of Florida journalism. Included in his lecture notes are two surveys done by his Public Opinion students on reading, listening, and viewing habits of Gainesville residents. Part of his Mass Communication 505 notes appear to be a transcript of classroom discussion.
