About Creativity in Action and Catalyst Showcase

Creativity-in-Action & Catalyst Showcase Creativity-in-Action is a first-year undergraduate course where students apply creative thinking tools and the design thinking process to a common problem topic. The topic is chosen from one of the Gator Good categories as a theme for that year. The students work in teams of 3-5 students to innovate a prototype solution in five-weeks. At the end of the course, students showcase their innovation ideas with a working prototype, poster, and pitch for the Innovation Academy Catalyst Showcase. This is a juried event where students are awarded for novelty of their idea, the potential for social impact on society, excellent design, and the potential for real-world implementation of the idea.
